What to Expect

Our practice is based on an integrative and holistic model of care. This means our clinicians offer both medication management and therapy services to our clients. (If clients are already established with a therapist, we collaborate with their therapist). This means smaller caseloads and a that you will know your patients well and provide thorough assessments and trauma-informed treatment plans tailored to the individual that focus on helping the client achieve mental wellness rather than symptom management. We aim to use a root cause approach with practical lifestyle interventions to minimize unnecessary polypharmacy and side effects.

Position Overview

We are seeking PMHNPs who are ready to break free from the constraints of high patient volumes and limited appointment times. This role enables you to:

  • Work with your preferred population and diagnoses, tailoring care to meet individual needs.
  • Use a full range of therapeutic skills, including therapy, medication management, functional lab testing, and psychoeducation.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments and create individualized treatment plans.
  • Deliver care through longer, meaningful appointments.
  • Provide comprehensive mental health services, including medication management, psychotherapy, and psychoeducation.
  • Facilitate group therapy sessions, offering support and psychoeducation in line with best practices.
  • Act as an expert in your chosen specialty area using a holistic approach to treatment.
  • Collaborate with a like-minded team committed to patient-centered care and innovation.
  • Maintain detailed, accurate patient records in compliance with professional standards.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Licensure: Holds an active, unrestricted PMHNP-C license in the state of North Carolina and has an active DEA license. You must reside in the state of NC (required).
  • Experience: Has 5+ years of experience as a PMHNP. New graduates with less than 12 months experience or experienced NPs who have not trained or worked independently offering functional psychiatry and trauma-informed psychotherapy are not eligible to apply unless they have completed our PMHNP Employment Readiness Training Program
  • Certification: Holds dual certification (preferred).
  • Schedule: Excited about embracing a flexible schedule to provide balanced, comprehensive care.
  • Training: Has or is willing to obtain training in trauma-specific modalities such as EMDR, Brainspotting, IFS, ACT, or Somatic Experiencing
  • Group Therapy: Interested in and comfortable with facilitating group sessions.
  • Autonomy: Desires the freedom to specialize in a preferred population and diagnoses.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $73,880.00 – $214,828.00 per year

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
