What I Treat
If you are finding adulting overwhelming or miserable, you are in the right place.
I'll help you figure out why you are struggling and get you on the path to freedom, success, and joy!
First of all, I treat people. And people are much more than their symptoms or diagnoses.
Letâs be real. Being human is hard. You have thoughts, feelings, emotions,
relationships, experiences, and stressors. All. The. Time. Thatâs natural but it isnât easy. Unfortunately, in our culture, we often get the message that our humanness is âwrong.â Even worse, we arenât taught the skills we need to understand and care for our own nervous systems. This can lead to uncomfortable symptoms and mental health dysregulation. Add in genetic factors, hormones, and other health conditions, and sometimes we develop mental health disorders.
I can help you better understand yourself and what you can do to safely and effectively find your path to wellness.
It doesn't have to be this hard.
Depression, anxiety, irritability, mood swings, or general feelings of being overwhelmed, can lead to physical and emotional symptoms. These struggles affect self-confidence, relationships, and overall well-being.
- Longer appointments mean I will take the time to understand your past and present.
- We are going to look at the big picture and the smaller details.
- I'll be honest. Some symptoms and conditions are better treated with therapy, and some with medication.
- Because we aren't filing insurance, we can focus on your needs and goals rather than the limitations of the diagnostic boxes insurance wants to put you in. That said, sometimes the diagnostic process is helpful and, if we make a diagnosis, you will understand why and what this means for your recovery.
- At the end of every appointment, you will have actionable steps in your plan to help you continue to grow and improve between sessions. I use handouts, guides, and supplemental resources regularly.
CONDITIONS I TREAT
